Upheld is part of Kelli Mills Ministries, Inc. We desire to minister to widows and widowers by offering a supportive environment where women and men who have lost their spouses may find comfort, encouragement, and hope. If you are a widow or widower, there are many ways to find support and build community through local churches as well.

Our Mission
On June 25, 2021, tragic circumstances thrust Kelli into early widowhood. She quickly discovered that losing one's spouse comes with a unique set of challenges, both emotional and practical.
Challenges
Emotional Changes
Grief and Loneliness - the loss of a spouse can feel overwhelming, and the adjustment to being alone can be difficult.
Identify Shift - many people define themselves as part of a couple, and losing a spouse may lead to questions about personal identity and purpose.
Social Changes - friends, especially couples, may not know how to relate to you now, leading to feelings of isolation.
Guilt - whether it is about moving forward, finding joy, or opening one's heart to love again, guilt can be a significant emotional burden.
Practical Challenges
Financial Adjustments - losing a spouse often means changes in household income, benefits, and financial planning.
Parenting Alone - if you have children, you may struggle with raising them without your partner's support.
Household Responsibilities - Tasks that were once shared now fall entirely on you, which can be exhausting.
Navigating Legal and Administrative Matters - dealing with wills, pensions, insurance, and other legalities can be complex and emotionally draining.
